REDUCED RATE
JOURNAL SUBSCRIPTION
FOR LIBRARIES
Program
objectives:
To improve the access of libraries to journals for on-the-spot reading services,
thus to support libraries, journals, publishers, and readers alike; to improve equal
opportunities for access to information.
Program
description:
The organizations eligible to apply for reduced rates (libraries are required
to cover 60% of the journal subscription rate) include county and city libraries, public
libraries in villages, and school libraries that provide on-the-spot reading services to
their visitors. The libraries can order cultural and political journals through the
Non-Profit Company for Library Supplies (KELLO). So libraries can directly access the
journals via KELLO, without having to go through the application scheme.
